  Excellent lunch!
  I had the yakitori and shrimp.
  Comes with rice coleslaw a soup and onion rings.
  You cannot beat the price.
  I'll be back

  FOOD :  yakatori and teriyaki sauce shouldn't be watery it wouldn't even stick to the chicken, I serve food with chili sauce and the sweet chili sauce we got was pink because of how badly watered down it was.
  Eggrolls were somehow watery I guess I could see that as it was almost nothing but cabbage.the gyoza meat was grey and smelled sour. The water given to us to drink smelled straight up like a fish tank
  
  I ain't complaining cuz I'm ignorant I grew up in an Asian household and know how things should be served
  
  Atmosphere : I like what they were going with with the displays but it felt a little much. Almost to the point I'd call it cluttered it does need a good cleaning/ dusting I feel like if less display shelves were used more seating could be installed and the atmosphere would feel more welcoming

  Compared to the other House of Yakitori, this place is quite a bit different. Sad to say, it isnt nearly as good. Food isnt as comparable, aesthetics is off (Japanese food but Vietnamese decorations everywhere), service is almost nonexistent and the internet was down so they only took cash, which they didnt notify any of their customers until it was time to pay. Well, I was always curious but now i know to just go to the other, more authentic house of yakitori on Academy.

  We've been coming here for over 20 years. Way back when it was on Union. Unfortunately things have gone downhill quickly here. The egg rolls are now frozen, soggy, store bought, vegetable ones and they do not even make the homemade meat ones anymore. We asked. The chicken is so tough and usually burnt. Also, it's just so dirty!! We went back one last time to see if things have improved any but they have not. We are sad to say farewell to this family run business, but it's just not good anymore...

  2 stars because I ordered yakatori and egg rolls and the egg rolls that came with it were frozen store bought vegetarian egg rolls. In the past this always comes with meat homemade egg rolls which are delicious  apparently you need to specify now? The waiter was very nice about it and only charged for the normal lunch special but still....the egg rolls are 1 of the main reasons I go.
  Also only 2 stars because the place is quite dirty and it's a turnoff.
